At Parker Merchanting we understand the importance of stock availability and being able to meet the site needs on the spot. Throughout 2005 we have heavily invested in our stock, capability and procedures.

In 2005 then new 80,000 sq foot central distribution unit was opened in Milton Keynes capable of holding 4000 pallets and distributing products within 24 hours to our branches. This enables us to maximize our stock holding throughout the network ensuring we have the right stock available in the right place. The stock holding in our network has increased by £1.2 million. This has been focused on our top 100 lines. Such that we aim to always be in stock of the top 100 items in any of our branches. Our capabilities are backed up by a real time stock system and a team of inventory planners, who are experts in stock management. The team is crucial to our operation and work closely with our branches, central distribution and suppliers to guarantee a high quality of service to our customers.
